Letter From Our CEO – September 2022

We hope you enjoyed a relaxing Labor Day Weekend and are set for a productive run to year-end. It seems like everyone’s schedule is extra busy now.

This month, read about the latest features in our VoIP Phone Service and modern surveillance cameras, then watch a video demonstrating multiple chat features in Microsoft Teams and learn a few Windows 11 skills before the new OS hits your desktop.

Pegasus Installs Surveillance Cameras for Clients

Are the cameras in your house better than the ones at work?

The economy is changing quickly, and so is surveillance camera technology. Want to record events at your sites using the latest features with business-grade reliability? Talk to Pegasus. We are here to help.

Pegasus offers sales and installation of modern surveillance camera systems. Like Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and popular DIY home video doorbell services, new business-grade surveillance cameras leverage the Internet, smartphones, and your network to deliver an impressive array of features at reasonable prices. Unlike basic home systems, business surveillance needs to work when the Internet is down and when the power is out. Pegasus can review recording options with you to maximize meaningful responses. Contact us for more information today.

Register Today

In partnership with the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce and West Chester University, Matthew Tucker and Erik Gudmundson from Pegasus will be teaching a continuing education course on cybersecurity at Lavazza Coffee’s headquarters on September 21. Learn how to accomplish nine things that will drastically improve the cybersecurity hygiene of your operations. We will include case studies of successful cyberattacks against local companies and what could have been done to prevent them.

Many organizations have tightened their cyber defenses. You’ll leave the room armed with actions you can take today to avoid being the low-hanging fruit. Talk with other local organizations and how cyber warfare has affected them. Advance registration is required.

How To Use Chat Features in Microsoft Teams

In previous newsletters, we’ve demonstrated some of the powerful new features in Microsoft Teams, but the chat and instant messaging features in Microsoft Teams can drastically help your organization’s efficiency, too. Watch this video with Pegasus Systems Administrator Pearson Verhoven and see how to:

  • Group chat
  • Channel chat
  • Chat with people who aren’t part of your organization
  • Give a reaction instead of sending a whole new message
  • Chat with Teams from a smartphone

One key takeaway from the video: Group chats are only visible to people in the group, whereas Channel chats are visible to everyone with access to the channel.

Have questions about a particular topic and would like to see a future Tips article or video on it? We may have already covered it in our Tips and Tricks blog. Feel welcome to request a topic of interest to you, and you may see it in one of our future newsletters.
