In this month’s edition of Meet the Employee with the CEO, Pegasus Technologies welcomed Joe Klutchka to the spotlight. Interviewed by CEO Matthew Tucker, Joe brought a laid-back sense of humor, a clear passion for technology and hockey, and some entertaining answers to questions submitted by fellow team members.
Joe recently celebrated his three-month mark with Pegasus, transitioning from onboarding into full-time technical operations. When asked to introduce himself, he credited his connection to long-time Pegasus employee Walter as part of what brought him on board. “We enjoy a lot of the same things—playing hockey and helping people—so it felt like a natural fit with the culture here,” Joe explained.
As with every installment of the Meet the Team series, the second half of the interview dove into a series of fun, unexpected questions from colleagues.
When asked about the wildest food he’s ever eaten, Joe named pâté (correctly identifying it as liver), and when challenged with the idea of cloning himself, he joked, “No, we wouldn’t get along. I know how I am—and I already annoy myself sometimes.”
If he were a bird, Joe said he’d be a penguin—”because who doesn’t like penguins?” And when imagining who he’d call if stranded on a desert island, Joe didn’t hesitate: Christine from the client services team, citing her expansive knowledge and confidence that she’d figure a way out.
Among the more light-hearted questions, Joe revealed he’d love to be best friends with Adam Sandler—mostly for the perks: “Free Jets tickets,” he grinned. He also shared that one of his dream experiences would be to attend an NHL Stanley Cup playoff game, especially outside the Philadelphia area for a change of scenery.
When asked what skill he’d want to be the best in the world at, Joe picked cooking, highlighting his enjoyment of making food and the satisfaction that comes with it. And in terms of personal essentials, he said he couldn’t live without his Xbox, noting that MLB is his current go-to game of choice.
As the conversation wrapped, Joe shared that he’s in the process of designing his next tattoo, likely a pitbull—a nod to the dogs he grew up with—and maybe a Flyers flag to honor his hockey roots.
To close things out, Joe reluctantly revealed that a few of his childhood nicknames weren’t exactly office-friendly, so the team settled for his go-to nickname: Mo.
CEO Matthew Tucker wrapped the interview by thanking Joe for his early contributions, praising his work ethic, and sharing his hopes for a long future with the company.
“You’re doing a great job,” said Tucker. “We look forward to watching your journey here and seeing how far you and Walter can take that 10-year plan.”
